Pro Tip: Remember that your lashes are the filter of your eye. Cleaning oils and bacteria off of our eyelash extensions can help them to last weeks longer, yet so many people are afraid just the opposite will happen you will see that not only do they last weeks longer, but they will also feel softer, less itchy, and more comfortable overall. Cleaning is so important because our lashes can get bacteria, and even mites if we do not take care of them.
It is important that you cleanse your lashes 2-3 times a week for non-makeup wearers and daily for ladies that wear makeup. Use a clean, soft-bristled makeup brush to work a Oil Free Lash Cleanser into the lashes in an “up and down” motion, NEVER scrub side to side as it weakens the glue bond and can cause fall out. It is important that you’re getting cleanser into the lash line, not just cleaning the ends of the lashes, just like getting all the way to your scalp when your washing your hair. Oils from your skin, dirt, and makeup all build up along the lash line between the lashes and needs to be cleaned out to ensure lash extension health and longevity.
Once you’ve worked the cleanser into the lash line with a brush, rinse with fresh cool water. Then PAT dry, never rub your lashes for any reason. Give them a final brush and you’re good to go!
You can do this at the bathroom sink. Once you get the hang of it, it only takes a couple minutes.
